About the restaurant
If you are hankering for some fine Spanish food, head to Candela, around 10 minutes from downtown Auckland. It is rustic, warm and romantic with the bar at the rear, serving mainly Spanish and New Zealand wines and creative cocktails. The tapas style menu is designed around sharing, with traditional Iberian dishes altered seasonally depending on availability of quality produce.
