Mabel's tells the story of Auntie Mabel, who introduced Burmese cuisine to Te Aro in 1978 with Monsoon, one of New Zealand’s first Burmese restaurants. Embracing Myanmar’s food and culture, Mabel's offers a communal dining experience, encouraging sharing to explore its textural dishes together. Start with Prawn Crackers or Garlic Crackers, perfect for dipping in house-made sauces.
